Ged Maheux<p>After having watched and enjoyed <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ThePenguin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ThePenguin</span></a> I have now (finally) watched The Batman. It was great and I think I enjoyed it more than any of the Christian Bale Batman films. Totally didn’t understand that the events in Penguin followed this film while I was watching it which in hindsight I think made the TV series even better. </p><p>Great move by the creators to take a side character like Oz and craft a whole miniseries around him and they did it completely sans the bat. Impressive.</p>

Enjoyed it from start to finish. Colin Ferrel (and the makeup artist(s) deserve all the Emmy’s. Saw that final shot coming a mile away but it was still super satisfying. Wondering what other miniseries these show creators have planned. Hmmm… 🤡</p>

Really well written and I’m quite impressed how LITTLE Batman fan service the series offers. Theres been hardly any name dropping at all which shows incredible restraint on the part of the show runners. Total respect.</p><p>Also, one of the best depictions of Arkham I’ve seen yet. Truly scary and plausible feeling. Overall the show has been great if a tad predictable. Four more to go.</p>
