Dawn Tåke 🌙 :sparkletrans:<p>So, I got The Division 2 for Christmas and was playing it for the first time tonight. Between it and playing the open beta of Skull and Bones, has been interesting, especially with this quote from Penny Arcade quoting the director of Helldivers two,</p><blockquote><p>...you have to "earn the right to monetize," which is very succinct and feels nice against the eardrum. It references in a broad, gentle way all the little decisions on both sides of a game that for lack of a better term define the "relationship" we have.</p></blockquote><p>Jerry references Deep Rock Galactic as a game that earns buying DLC as it's essentially a tip for the developers. I thought this was interesting as I've done that exact thing for that exact game.</p><p>Ubisoft on the other hand can go fuck themselves. None of their games have felt like they've earned paying for cosmetic DLC. Honestly, they haven't earned buying them new.</p><p><a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/TheDivision2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheDivision2</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/SkullAndBones" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SkullAndBones</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/DeepRockGalactic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DeepRockGalactic</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Ubisoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubisoft</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/PennyArcade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PennyArcade</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/TourmaGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TourmaGaming</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Videogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Videogaming</span></a></p>
