Khurram Wadee ✅<p>According to <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Wikipedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wikipedia</span></a>, the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a> are form of construction called a <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/ClapperBridge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClapperBridge</span></a> and were originally built in <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Medieval" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Medieval</span></a> times but these are not the original stones as they have been damages and swept away several times in their history during storms and rebuilt, luckily in the same manner.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyWork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyWork</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyPhoto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/CCBYSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CCBYSA</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DSLR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSLR</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/D7000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>D7000</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Spring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spring</span></a></p>
Khurram Wadee ✅<p>The first enigmatic view of the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a> was from behind trees. Here, we could see people crossing the river.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyWork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyWork</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyPhoto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/CCBYSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CCBYSA</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DSLR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSLR</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/D7000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>D7000</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Spring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spring</span></a></p>
Khurram Wadee ✅<p>The last part of the path to the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a> from the north-east is quite rocky.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyWork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyWork</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyPhoto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/CCBYSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CCBYSA</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DSLR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSLR</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/D7000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>D7000</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Spring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spring</span></a></p>
Khurram Wadee ✅<p>From the high <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/moor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>moor</span></a>, the land slopes down towards the location of the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a>.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyWork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyWork</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyPhoto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/CCBYSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CCBYSA</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DSLR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSLR</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/D7000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>D7000</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Spring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spring</span></a></p>
Khurram Wadee ✅<p>The planned destination and scheduled break for our <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DulvertonToTarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DulvertonToTarrSteps</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/hike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hike</span></a> were the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a> themselve. On the approach, we encountered some wild <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/ExmoorPonies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ExmoorPonies</span></a>, which roam wild over the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/moor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>moor</span></a>. They are a distinct breed from the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DarmoorPonies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DarmoorPonies</span></a> that I am more familiar with owing to their geographical isolation.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyWork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyWork</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/MyPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyPhoto</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/CCBYSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CCBYSA</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/DSLR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DSLR</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/D7000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>D7000</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Spring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spring</span></a></p>
Khurram Wadee ✅<p>Yesterday, we went on a <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/walking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>walking</span></a> trip in <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Exmoor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Exmoor</span></a>, which is in <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Somerset" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Somerset</span></a>, despite the name. I had been planning a round <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/walk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>walk</span></a> from <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Dulverton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Dulverton</span></a> to the <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/TarrSteps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TarrSteps</span></a> since last summer and this <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/BankHoliday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BankHoliday</span></a> weekend is a good time to have it as the weather is better, though not too hot, the days are longer, and there's a spare day for recovery. My wife used a <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/pedometer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pedometer</span></a> app to record the journey and it clocked in at 24.2 km and she recorded nearly 36,000 steps in eight hours, including breaks.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/Hiking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hiking</span></a></p>
