Ged Maheux<p>My USGS Earthquake feed in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> has been going crazy all night. 😳</p>

Garrett<p>Has anyone figured out a way to open articles from a feed in <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span>'s <a href="https://social.lol/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> in Apple News?</p>
Tuomo Suominen<p>Having a really hard time keeping up with the number of items in my <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> feeds. For example, my All Feeds has gathered 200 items just in the last 6 hours. I tested with another feed where I removed all podcast, YouTube, Tumblr and Pixelfed feeds, and that has gathered 100 items in the last 6 hours. But what to do, as I would like to have the podcast, YouTube, Tumblr and Pixelfed items also while cutting the number of items? And I have muted boosts. How have others solved the item deluge?</p>
David Brown :prami_retro:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> could you please consider adding an option to open the whole article/post when tapping anywhere on an item in a feed in <a href="https://social.lol/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a>. It is my only annoyance with the app and adds so much extra brain work. 🙏</p>
Rob Hague<p>These are worse than useless — if there was a way to hide these in <a href="https://mas.to/tags/tapestryapp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tapestryapp</span></a>, it'd be another feather in its cap.</p>
Tuomo Suominen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> Bug or feature? When I tap the boost icon of a Mastodon item in my <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> feed, that Mastodon item disappears from my Tapestry feed.</p>
The Iconfactory<p>:tapestry_app: Our thanks to the current list of sponsors advertising their excellent products and services in <a href="https://iconfactory.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> right now. They help support the free version of Tapestry for everyone. 😃</p><p>We hope you'll check them and what they are offering out. Tuomo Suominen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> More <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> annoyances: blog posts which are first published, then the URL is edited, the article immediately republished, and the two appear one after the other in the feed. I understand that because of the difference in the URL this isn't even an update of the article but rather a new publication. Example 1/4:<br><a href="https://www.uusiteknologia.fi/2025/07/09/bittium-kehittaa-5g-nts-satelliittiyhteydet-alypuhelimiin/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">uusiteknologia.fi/2025/07/09/b</span><span class="invisible">ittium-kehittaa-5g-nts-satelliittiyhteydet-alypuhelimiin/</span></a><br><a href="https://www.uusiteknologia.fi/2025/07/09/bittium-kehittaa-5g-nts-satelliittiyhteydet-alypuhelimiinsa/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">uusiteknologia.fi/2025/07/09/b</span><span class="invisible">ittium-kehittaa-5g-nts-satelliittiyhteydet-alypuhelimiinsa/</span></a></p>
Tuomo Suominen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> Having just said that about Kottke's posts, what do I see next? <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> has treated a Kottke blog post and subsequent Mastodon post as Crosstalk.</p>
Tuomo Suominen<p>Hoping <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> comes up with a way to train <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> to spot de facto crossposts. For example, M.G. Siegler typically makes the same post on both Bluesky and Mastodon. I don't want to filter out either of his accounts, but I would like to train Tapestry to spot patterns like "a Bluesky post by @mgsiegler.com is immediately followed by a Mastodon post by <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://me.dm/@mgs" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>mgs</span></a></span>" (or vice versa) and treat them as Crosstalk. I don't mean globally, just in my timeline.</p>
Tuomo Suominen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://iconfactory.world/@Iconfactory" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Iconfactory</span></a></span> It would be useful to have the publishing frequency stats of each <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/TapestryApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TapestryApp</span></a> source available in order to identify the very noisy ones. Maybe even break down the number of items individual Mastodon/Bluesky/Tumblr/YouTube/etc users add to the Tapestry timeline? It would be great to have the Muffle &amp; Mute options available right there next to the data.</p>
