Mouse<p>My Lenovo laptop was getting really unstable after about 3 years (Pop!_OS 22.04) so I tried the OS refresh for the first time. It went totally smooth and I only had to reinstall a few apps. All my settings, all my Firefox setup came through intact. I remain happy with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/system76" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>system76</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/popOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>popOS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FTW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FTW</span></a></p>

We interview Viktor Petersson at Screenly. The discussion dives into Screenly’s focus on security, especially for enterprise environments, and emphasizes the need for strong hardware and software security partnerships. I’ve only seen glimpses of how things might work on YouTube but it was for a laptop.</p>
Alison Wilder<p>Now that I'm all in on <a href="https://io.waxandleather.com/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, it's time to replace my Lenovo gaming laptop with hardware that has proper support. Christopher Wright<p>I didn't get much traction over on bsky with this, but I'm in the market for a new <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/laptop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>laptop</span></a> and I'm migrating from Mac to <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>. I'm leaning to <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/system76" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>system76</span></a> and the Pangolin, but the battery life isn't all that great. thezerobit<p>I've had so many <a href="https://anticapitalist.party/tags/USBC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USBC</span></a> ports crap out on me. My phone, kid's tablet, kid's laptop, school chromebooks. I'm still using my phone thanks to wireless charging. Amazingly, the kid's laptop is a few years old Lenovo laptop which also has a barrel connector power port (even though it shipped with a USB-C power supply), so I ordered a replacement barrel connector power supply.</p><p>No problems with my <a href="https://anticapitalist.party/tags/System76" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>System76</span></a> laptop, but that came with a barrel charger because someone at that company knows what's up.</p>
