ℒӱḏɩę :blahaj: 💾<p>Pink Floyd in surround sound. Super Audio CD /SACD. High resolution format of the past and are still being made. These (and DVDA) are as awesome as vinyl records are for analog but are digital's peak. <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/pinkfloyd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pinkfloyd</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/sacd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sacd</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/dvdaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dvdaudio</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/dvda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dvda</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/superaudiocd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>superaudiocd</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a></p>
ℒӱḏɩę :blahaj: 💾<p>The Blue Man Group's AUDIO album is one of my favorite multi-channel high res 192/24 audio albums that I have. The mix itself, the incredible highs, the insanely rich base. Completely independent tracks written for each speaker. It's unfortunate that 5.1 music never really caught on, though I am happy that most live concerts recorded today are in 5.1. <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/highdefinition" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>highdefinition</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/highresolution" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>highresolution</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Surround" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Surround</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/audio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>audio</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/dvdaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dvdaudio</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/sacd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sacd</span></a></p>

Ricardo Harvin<p>Ugh, I missed the trailer drop 2-3 days ago on YouTube and the theater near me only has seats on the sides of the first two rows.</p><p>A theater in South Miami has a perfect seat left, but that's too far to travel since I've already experienced the concert show on AppleTV with my 4K tv and 5.1 surround system.</p><p>It's awesome 👏🏿 </p><p>I'd love to see this in IMAX, but that doesn't seem possible.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Bj%C3%B6rk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Björk</span></a>: <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Cornucopia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Cornucopia</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/concert" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>concert</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/film" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>film</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/movie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>movie</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/IMAX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IMAX</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AppleTV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AppleTV</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/4K" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>4K</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a></p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/WvSoLELzCDk?si=_uXzBbvCUDKvZBgL" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtu.be/WvSoLELzCDk?si=_uXzBb</span><span class="invisible">vCUDKvZBgL</span></a></p>
Devin Prater :blind:<p>Okay y'all, I hit the jackpot again! So I have the OnePlus 13 phone, and Earfun wireless earbuds. So I was trying surround sound playback on the AAC Multichannel Playback Test page from Fraunhoffer, and while the OReality audio doesn't use the surround sound channels, the Spatial Audio option does! So yeah, while the OnePlus doesn't have Dolby Atmos, it does support surround sound emulation. Lets see an iPhone do that! :) </p><p><a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/audio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>audio</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/SpatialAudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpatialAudio</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/surroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>surroundSound</span></a> <a href="https://tweesecake.social/tags/OnePlus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OnePlus</span></a></p>

No, don't care how much you spent on those. Tv speakers SUCK, always have, since Pioneer killed the Kuro series ( ::tears:: )<br>- SOUNDBARS SUCK, get a real surround system.</p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Stereo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Stereo</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Music</span></a></p>

faraiwe<p>FTR, <a href="https://beige.party/tags/atmos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>atmos</span></a> is utter garbage.</p><p>No, I don't care that you got conned into buying $2k of a shitty, plasticky, disposable system that added two extra channels, without a decent return/benefit for it.</p><p>"Atmos" is just (tldr) bouncing sound from the ceiling to simulate sound coming from above. Unless you are listening to the system in a room within the very, very narrow specs of ceiling height, material, etc, you just wasted bandwidth, materials (plastic, wood, wires, etc), and my patience. Even when configured to optimal specs, atmos sounds like dogshit.</p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a> rules: K.I.S.S. </p><p>Can't beat *wired* speakers, connected to a decent, simple amp, A/V receivers are ok, see rule about amplifier. <br>90% of everything works with 5.1;<br>No, none of the "newer" codecs are better than DTS HD Master or Dolby TrueHD; <br>No, two subwoofers are not necessarily better than one; <br>Bluetooth is utter shit; <br>HDMI ARC is shit, and HDMI after 1.3 is about the same.<br>Korean companies never made anything audio that sounded remotely good or was not disposable crap; <br>PMPO rating is a scam; <br>More wattage does NOT mean better sound; <br>Louder doesn't mean better;<br>Brand cables are a scam;<br>Looks of a speaker don't mean shit for the sound;<br>More expensive doesn't mean better.</p>
Confiscated Pillow Phone<p>Just read over the specs on this thing, and HOLY CRAP! If it's as good as they claim, that price is a STEAL. Still a bit overkill for my needs (and I certainly don't have space for 13 speakers in my living room at the moment), but if I had the money to splurge, even if I only used two channels out of it, I'd grab one just for how clean and flat the numbers say it sounds.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/HiFi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HiFi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/Stereo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Stereo</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/Audio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Audio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/HomeTheater" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HomeTheater</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/SurroundSound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SurroundSound</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.lol/tags/Electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Electronics</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apuP9hQL5wU" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=apuP9hQL5w</span><span class="invisible">U</span></a></p>
