Eugenia L<p>Had a mini PC with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a> that I never used, so I installed <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mint</span></a> on it too. Now all my computers run either Linux, or <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MacOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MacOS</span></a> (mostly Linux).</p><p>And so I played a bit with the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Presonus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Presonus</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/StudioOne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StudioOne</span></a> demo, and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Reaper" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reaper</span></a>. StudioOne wouldn't have any audio output at all, unless I installed an audio script from the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/UbuntuStudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UbuntuStudio</span></a> distro first.</p><p>Reaper worked all by itself without issues. The engineering at Reaper always had me impressed. I recorded it on CoolEditPro. That dates it some. Saved to a CD, in a .cda format.<br>I converted to .wav and imported to SI.<br>Unfortunately, alot of clipping. Tried altering all sorts. Bitrate, sample rate. <br>Even installed CoolEditPro and loaded into that. Same problem.<br>I think it became corrupt at recording to CD<br>No saved files of original recording ( my bad techniques back in the early days of music recording). Shame. Great Band.</p>

Terje Fjelde<p>Hm, I never noticed this before – but I just loaded a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/StudioOne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StudioOne</span></a> project from yesterday with 18 <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MiniV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MiniV</span></a>'s from <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Arturia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Arturia</span></a>, and it loads a lot slower than most <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/VSTI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VSTI</span></a>'s.</p><p>Not a problem, just an observation – but now that I think about it, I can imagine stuff like <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AnalogLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AnalogLab</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Stage73" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Stage73</span></a> being pretty slow with many instances as well. Oh, well. Sometimes <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Nvidia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nvidia</span></a> settings can improve load times in Studio One, but I don't think I'll bother – probably going for a new RTX soon, anyway!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/musicProduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>musicProduction</span></a></p>
