The company's CEO, Sam Altman, responded to the criticism last Sunday by describing it as "democratization" of art creation. <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://flipboard.com/@ArtNews" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ArtNews</span></a></span>'s digital director Harrison Jacobs says Altman's missed the point, quoting Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki.
