🖋 PICK UP YOUR PENS 📃 – JUNE 10 @ TU DELFT 🟥

The national protest in Amsterdam is cancelled due to the train strikes—but we’re not standing still. Let’s strike the Erasmian way and push back against the budget cuts in higher education.

✍️ Join us for a collective letter-writing action—because doing it together is easier, more fun, and more powerful.

🕛 JUNE 10, 12:00 @ AULA CANTINE
🥪 We’ll bring lunch and materials. Just show up!

📨 Write a letter to the Ministry of Education or another political body:

* Handwritten or printed–signed
* Email or drop it in the box we are bringing

📸 Snap a pic of your letter going in the box and share it!
🎨 Be as creative or direct as you like.

💥 WHY THIS MATTERS
This action helps us:

* Make sure this moment doesn’t pass in silence
* Prove to ourselves—and to others—that we can organize and mobilize, even when plans change
* Keep building a local network of students and workers who want to get organized—and raise morale while doing it
* Run an action together that we can build on as a follow-up and contribute to the national movement through multiple channels
* Grow union power and collective organizing at TU Delft so we can become an influential force in shaping university policies and the future of academia

The UK government is planning devastating cuts to disability benefits — targeting some of the most vulnerable in our society. Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC) is fighting back, and they need your support.

This isn't just about those who are disabled now — anyone can become disabled at any time. These cuts could affect your future, too. That’s why it’s vital we all stand together.

DPAC's Crowdfunder will help cover the cost of travel, protest actions, campaign materials, and more — giving disabled people the means to fight back in Parliament and in the streets.

Please donate what you can. Even £1 from each supporter would make a huge difference.

MobilizeMarch to Stop the Cuts! · Indivisible BrooklynRight-wing politicians in Washington are moving forward with devastating proposals to cut $2 trillion in Medicaid, housing, food assistance and other vital programs to fund a massive tax giveaway to the wealthy and corporations. 🌍✊ Join the Fight to Protect Dutch Higher Education! ✊🌍

I want to bring your attention to an important issue that affects not just the Netherlands, but all of us who care about education and the future of our society. The new Dutch government has announced a staggering €1 billion in cuts to higher education and science—the largest reduction we've seen in decades. This decision threatens the quality of education, the well-being of staff, and the future of countless students.

As we face global challenges that require well-educated individuals to tackle complex problems, these cuts will only exacerbate existing issues like increased overtime, deteriorating working conditions, and the discontinuation of vital study programs. The "Internationalization in balance" law could also drive away international staff, further weakening the educational landscape.

We cannot stand by while the Dutch cabinet pledges to address societal problems yet simultaneously undermines the very institutions that are essential for solving them. Strong colleges, universities, and research institutions are crucial for overcoming challenges like the housing shortage and teacher shortages.

I urge you to stand in solidarity with Dutch students, educational staff, and society at large by signing this petition: Stop Cuts on Dutch Higher Education. Every signature counts and sends a powerful message to the government to reverse these devastating measures.

Let’s work together to ensure a brighter future for education and research! 📚💪 #StopTheCuts #HigherEducation #Solidarity
