ETHiX Racing Team<p>We managed to get out of the funk from July and finish a race! More than that, we had a good points day and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://veganism.social/@carlile" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>carlile</span></a></span> walks away regaining the regular season points lead.</p><p>With 14 stage points in the bag, we took a big gamble staying out on older tires, saving one set and hoping for a caution near the end of the race. That caution did come, but only left two laps of racing before the end. When we took the tires, we restarted at the back of the pack and drove up to 6th before laps ran out. After a strong performance and leading for 33 out of the 100 laps, we were in P2 and got tagged in the right rear and collected another car. ETHiX Racing Team<p>With Shark Week approaching, we're teaming up with Shark Allies for every race this July - making it Shark Month! Starting Tuesday night at Atlanta, our #81 Chevy will be proudly sporting the Shark Allies branding on the track, and we'll be sharing shark-related content here on Mastodon.</p><p>Shark Allies is a non-profit originally established in 2007 in Hawaii, and advocates for the global protection of sharks through various campaigns and programs - from education to legislation. We are beyond grateful for their efforts, and proud to show our support for them.</p><p>To kick off Shark Month, we'll be donating $200 to Shark Allies. Harry<p>Massive thanks to everyone who joined me on last night's stream! I genuinely had a great laugh chatting to you all while I crashed the hell out of everything. </p><p>Onto the review side of it, BeamNG.Drive Rally is up there with one of the best rally experiences you can have in today's day and age. The <em>only</em> few things that hold it back currently are two things in my opinion:</p><p><strong>1.</strong> There aren't any official cars. All the cars are generically branded and (petrolheads may get me on this) engine sounds are ficitional. However, they are still hecking great fun and this doesn't take away too much from the experience. </p><p><strong>2.</strong> This is not a fault or a bug, but there aren't enough variation in rally stages yet. Given that it is still early release, there are only a few stages to choose from, with only 2 out of 9 being gravel/mud. However, the ones that are available to choose from are brilliantly good fun. </p><p>The rally mod strikes that balance perfectly in that because of the realistic physics and damage model, you really connect with the car and stages you're driving because you are fearful of trying anything extreme- though if you do try something wild and it pays off, the feeling of accomplishment is an awesome one. </p><p>Best of all? The game is only £20 ish.
