Christina
I'm gonna throw a #ScribesAndMakers bonus question out today: Let's be real, we're not all main character material, but regardless, what fictional character do you WISH you identified with?

Christina
#ScribesAndMakers What fictional character do I identify with?

For most my adult life, it was Daria. But rewatching the series, I realized my sarcasm is more like Jane's. Daria may be a wee bit too nihilistic. I'm more likely to tell people to go to hell in a friendly manner.

Not because I was that fierce but because she was a rebel. I admired rebels from an early age. 😀 I suppose I can still identify with her 🤷

GaH Learner
20 What fictional character do you most closely identify with and why?

I never really did that, not even as a child. There certainly were characters I would have liked to be, but there are none that are like me.
I'm like every redshirt on Star Trek, or maybe Primrose Everdeen from the Hunger Games. My own Calanthe Willowrod has a lot from me. And I would like to be like Ripley from Alien, but hell, I'd be monster food before I could open my mouth to scream. 😂

#ScribesAndMakers #GL625

I actually rather hope people will read it so I don't want to talk to much about why. She's someone who lives a sheltered life to begin with and gradually comes to understand what's really going on in the world she lives in.

ig 🏳️‍🌈
i think identifying too much with a fictional character could be a sign of not having a strong sense of your own self. like those Rorschach fanboys, or those douchebags with Punisher stickers. or the Holden Caulfield wannabes. looking for someone to copy instead of developing a personality. 🤷

#ScribesAndMakers

What fictional character do you most closely identify with and why?

i couldn't answer this question because nobody wants to write characters who are really like me. but i think that's not the point of reading. i get as much enjoyment out of characters who are very different from me as i do from those who are similar. it's all in how well the story is told.

Plotting a whole epic series with all the details.
And at one point I tried to get her to actually start writing it!

How did it go? Yeah...she's still planning the thing 😅 But when she finally gets that beast written down it's gonna be awesome!

Christina
#ScribesAndMakers have I talked anyone into creating?

Kinda? I've actively encouraged friends to write or publish, and even got a couple of friends to write in my universe to create a coauthored series. But I don't think I had to talk anyone into it. I'm not sure how well that would work. Both my spouse and I are creators, he's a musician, I'm a writer, and we both enjoy visual art mediums. He's not going to convince me to pick up an instrument and I can't convince him to write a book.
