Describe it as best you can.

Alexios: Mmm. I was so young and naïve. I'd give just about anything to relive that day, too. I had just graduated from university and there was this lass I fancied in my class... She wanted to see a film together for my birthday. I spent the morning with my parents, helped my mum in the garden, and spent some time with family. I was over the moon that this lass had asked for a date night, said yes, and picked her up around dinnertime. We had a meal, enjoyed the movie and all that. It was a great time. I miss being young. Rachel Thorn 🍉🇺🇦🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
I’m enjoying the novelette Lorelei of the Red Mists by Keith Brackett and Ray Bradbury. It’s an unusual hybrid. The story and characters feel very much like Brackett, but the writing style is more abstract than anything I’ve seen in her other work. Sometimes whole sentences merely hint any meaning rather offering it. That must have been Bradbury’s touch. I had assumed she had an outline at the start, but apparently she really did make up the story as she wrote, so that by the time she had to let it go, she was half way but had no idea where the story was going. I didn’t think anyone actually wrote that way, except perhaps in a serialized piece. Here’s an interesting blog entry about it. #SF #ScienceFiction #Bradbury https://adventuresfantastic.com/brackett-and-bradbury-lorelei-of-the-red-mist/
