R.L. Dane :Debian: :OpenBSD: 🍵 :MiraLovesYou:
Took a #Wii home from mom's house as they were clearing out a bunch of old stuff.
The Wii powered on, and while Wii Fit was the only disc I had, it did load it fine.

Unfortunately, a video cable wasn't in the bag of Wii stuff, and while I tried four new AA batteries in both of the balance boards I have, neither of them lit up when I hit the power button, which tells me they were stored with old AAs that leaked and corroded (a bit of powder/cruft in the battery compartment confirms this).

The Wiimote seems to be working, though (quick LED flash when I hit the center button).

This hardware has been sitting in the garage for no less than a decade.

Oh bother. I really don't want to pay $60 for a used balance board on fleabay, or $30 a pop for used discs.

Anybody know a good cheap source for Wii stuff? :D

#RetroGaming #Nintendo
