I am one day late to #HappyEuropeDay. But I am still happy, as I see the UK (whatever Farage says) finally, decisively, coming to its senses over where its strategic interests lie. Starmer cannot say it, but my timeline for #Rejoin has moved ahead at least five years, perhaps to 2030 post-election

#Rejoin all the way. Come back to us. The unity it would have given us in this time of the largest war in Europe since WW2 would be very welcome.
(at this point I'd even let the UK have most of the old special deals back if you joined back quickly - but I doubt most would since there's not enough trust).

Otherwise, you can negotiate as you please but your deal probably wont improve that much.
This is in fact, probably the worst time for the UK to renegotiate for a better deal. Because unlike in the days of prime minister Johnson, you now have no other trade block to seek tighter trade relations with than with the EU.
Sick people just need to believe in Britain.

I wonder why US-owned social media companies allowed Russia to infiltrate them to help drive Brexit. My theory is that a weaker, disjointed Europe is better for the USA but still rich enough to buy their products.
The USA has always viewed Europe and the West with this disdain but has just kept up the facade so they can keep us as their cash cow. Trump just didn't understand this, but at least now we all know how the US feels about us.
