The 500 Hats of LambdaCalculus<p>I do want to give my <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/RedStarOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RedStarOS</span></a> talk again at SummerCon next year, but what I think would make it even better is if I could get my hands on a copy of Red Star OS 4.0 for research.</p><p>The only information I found so far about it comes from four articles written in NKEconomy, a South Korean newspaper that reports on North Korean affairs, that were linked on Betawiki:</p><p><a href="https://betawiki.net/wiki/Red_Star_OS_4.0" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">betawiki.net/wiki/Red_Star_OS_</span><span class="invisible">4.0</span></a></p><p>Namely, Red Star OS 4.0 includes VirtualBox (likely 6.1, judging from release of the OS and VBox corresponding), Sowang Office (their (originally) OpenOffice rebranding, and now likely LibreOffice based office suite) can open MS Office files (again, LibreOffice has improved Office compatibility), Firefox (which they rebranded as Naenara ("My Country" in Korean) and added some sneaky tracking and pinging of POST and GET requests to it), and keychain-based password management. I really wanna see this up close and research it more.</p><p>Let's see if we can make Kim Jong-Un mad again and leak Red Star OS 4.0 out!</p>
