It was really well written and described in the book and I was terrified it wouldn't go over well on screen </p><p>My fears could not have been more misplaced. I felt every moment of it. The facial expressions of those listening. Their change in attitude over time. The call-and-response. Kobayashi-san's delivery. Emilia's interspersed comments. It was all such a perfect translation of the heart and soul of that speech onto the screen.</p><p>And Reinhardt showing up at the end with Otto? Cutting the episode on him saying "I've joined the fray"? HYPE. AS. neatchee<p>SPOILER-FREE RE:ZERO S3E7 THOUGHTS</p><p>They slowed the pace this week at the PERFECT time. This episode, as light on content as it was, absolutely knocked it out of the park.</p><p>I was particularly worried as a novel reader whether this episode's pivotal scene would play well at the pace this season has been going. And hoooooo boy did it ever! </p><p>Kobayashi Yūsuke did an <em>incredible</em> job. Like, really, REALLY incredible. I am so impressed by the depth and breadth on display from him this episode.</p><p>And next episode is gonna be ABSOLUTELY LIT. The hype at the end of E7 is peak</p><p>What did everyone else think? neatchee<p>So, how's everyone enjoying this season of Re:Zero?</p><p>As a novel reader, this season of the anime feels like it is moving RIDICULOUSLY fast. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because there is definitely a whole lot to cover in this story arc. But it does feel a bit frenetic.</p><p>You can tell how hard they're working to fit all the content in that they can. They're even going without any kind of opening credits just to get a little bit of extra time.</p><p>It has definitely lessened the impact of a few things, for sure. Garfiel in particular gets the short of end of the character development stick. My Little Ponfarr<p>Almost done with season two of Re: Zero. Not as taken with the sanctuary arc as I was with season one's story, and if I'm truthful, I found the late midway point of the show a little tiring.
