Valen RESISTS<p>I just setup an old phone with <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/kiwix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>kiwix</span></a> so I have an offline copy of stuff like full <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Wikipedia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wikipedia</span></a>, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a>, and others. RationalWiki<p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> is now online again.</p>

RationalWiki<p>It is appearing very likely that <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> will be dissolved this year due to lack of legal representation (no pro bono lawyers came forward and we do not have funds to hire a lawyer). Meritless <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/defamation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>defamation</span></a> lawsuits were filed against us by "human biodiversity"/"scientific racism"/pro-eugenics plaintiffs. RationalWiki<p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> is facing imminent legal peril from 5 separate defamation lawsuits from 5 <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/eugenics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eugenics</span></a> supporters. At least 2 of the lawsuits appear to be frivolous on their face. There is enough name-calling &amp; biased reporting going around in our culture. There are plenty of pointed criticisms of Intelligent Design. We don't need to jazz it up.</p>

RationalWiki<p>Conversion therapy (sometimes called reparative therapy) refers to a wide range of pseudoscientific, homophobic, and/or transphobic practices. Those who practice it believe that people who are not heterosexual and/or are transgender can and should be "cured" of their status, and thus they believe that by practicing conversion therapy, they can change their sexual orientation or gender identity. RationalWiki<p>The Conehead skulls or Paracas skulls are deformed human skulls associated with the Paracas culture in what is now Peru. They are unnaturally elongated, giving a comparatively pointed shape. Most experts believe they are the result of artificial cranial deformation, a procedure well known to anthropologists in which the skull's shape is modified by tightly binding the head. Despite this, some people still believe they are gray aliens (or some other, equally silly thing). Other skulls with similar deformations have been found in many parts of the world, which only goes to show that aliens are among us all. Or that they were created by a widespread human cultural practice.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/ufo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ufo</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/aliens" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>aliens</span></a><br><a href="https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Conehead_skulls" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">rationalwiki.org/wiki/Conehead</span><span class="invisible">_skulls</span></a></p>

RationalWiki<p>The so-called Boogaloo movement, also referred to as the Boogaloo boys (and the Boogaloo bois) are a <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/militia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>militia</span></a> movement of far-right gun nuts formed in 2019 that are trying to overthrow the government to then spark a second American Civil War. They can be best described as a bizarre combination of White Supremacists and Yippies/Hipsters, in that they revel in their own absurdities. The name is a reference to the racist dogwhistle "boogaloo," and they've become infamous for their involvement in the George Floyd protests, trying to inflame an already burning-hot situation.</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/whitesupremacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>whitesupremacy</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/racism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>racism</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/civilwar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>civilwar</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/accelerationism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>accelerationism</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/cri" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cri</span></a> <br><a href="https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Boogaloo_movement" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">rationalwiki.org/wiki/Boogaloo</span><span class="invisible">_movement</span></a></p>
RationalWiki<p>Blue Lives Matter is a counter-movement to the Black Lives Matter movement, primarily serving as a deflection towards issues of police interaction that African American people are more likely to face than other groups and to instead address the deaths that are directed towards law enforcement officers. In a similar vein to movements such as White History Month or It's Okay to Be White, it aims to glorify an already highly privileged class of people as a feel good message to themselves while ignoring the actual, insidious faults of the system that plagues law enforcement that cause the image of officers to be negative in the first place. The about page for the main Blue Lives Matter website, written in a flowery manner, even claims that the goal of Black Lives Matter is "the vilification of law enforcement."</p><p><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/RationalWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RationalWiki</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/bluelivesmatter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bluelivesmatter</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/blacklivesmatter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blacklivesmatter</span></a> <br><a href="https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Blue_Lives_Matter" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">rationalwiki.org/wiki/Blue_Liv</span><span class="invisible">es_Matter</span></a></p>
