Ika Makimaki<p>I was on board the <a href="https://mastodon.nz/tags/RainbowWarrior" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RainbowWarrior</span></a> last week, and now she is sailing on her way to the Marshall Islands to visit the communities there, commemorate the historical connection between <a href="https://mastodon.nz/tags/Greenpeace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Greenpeace</span></a> and the Marshallese people, and do some research.</p><p>40 years ago, while campaigning against nuclear testing, this bond was established and it still binds together the organisation and the pacific nation.</p><p>If you don't know the incredible story, check the toot linked above.
