<borrowed>Hello there...every day that I use Mastodon, I like to list three things that I like as a contribution towards a positive online space, as well as my own headspace. If you did this today, what would feature on your list?</borrowed>

1. The day spent at a local 'fun day' with a #Lifeboat #RNLI stall, a bit of money raised, more importantly the word spread and some beach safety advice given.

2. Back home, tired, but welcomed by good aromas from the slow cooker.

3. Relaxing in bed, thinking through the day, writing #3GoodThings #Today, some deep breaths and soon to sleep...

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Monday. After a nice weekend, the weather has gone cold and windy overnight. Never mind. Yesterday's trip out was fun. We visited Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie on "MrsD's birthday journey of discovery" in Fife. We managed an ice cream on the beach too! MrsD enjoyed her birthday. More exploring today.

Whatever you are doing today, have fun and laughs. Take care.

Today's photo is from Anstruther, it looks like a brand new lifeboat for the #RNLI.

Well I've been here for two years so time for a little review.

Have totally abandoned and actively avoid the #xitter site. Confess a modest time spent on #facebook almost entirely to promote/follow a couple of charities that are close to my heart, especially #RNLI

Have no desire to join any algorithm based system however blue the sky.

Kinda like the way the toots fly off into the ether and sometimes folk react, and sometimes not. Hoping I manage to spread a little happiness and bring a few smiles to people's faces.

I really should do more than boost, especially in relation to the #ClimateEmergency, after all I do have a Masters in Sustainability and Adaptation.

So today's thought for the day: we've probably lost #1point5c, #COP needs some urgent reform, #bigoil is relentless in it's lobbying, but we mustn't give up hope. We can work together, the little voices do matter. Never give up, never surrender!

This is an automatic account, which checks every 10 minutes or so to see if there has been a lifeboat launch by the RNLI, and if there has, posts the location and time of the launch.

I know a lot of people were very fond of the equivalent bot on twitter/X, so I made this one for you to follow and not miss out.

Please boost to spread the word!

Always consider making a donation to the RNLI if you can -

A reminder that a mobile phone makes walking alone safer, but is not all you need.

In a six-hour operation, Kyle RNLI crew rescued a hillwalker who had been trapped for 24 hours on a narrow coastal ledge in the remote area of Kinloch Hourn, where it's difficult to pick up a phone signal.

Well #today I see I've been here for three months, so I think time for an #introduction
Not sure I can do much more than copy from the profile: Retired #technowizard, #sustainability masters student, trainee eco warrior and #rebel. Ardent #remoaner. Lives in #Harwich, #UK, keen #Lifeboat volunteer/supporter, amateur #photographer and #astronomer.
