And I update that regularly to get new features and bugfixes.</p><p>My only gripe w/ <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a> right now is not handling outlines very well in my `targets::tar_assign` calls, but otherwise, I'm really enjoying using it. The split editor alone has made it worth the switch.</p>
Jorge Saturno<p>Anyone using <a href="https://mastodon.pub.solar/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a> on a daily basis? I have used the beta a while ago and had issues exporting as revealjs and rendering qmd websites. I will make some tests of the newest version but would appreciate any impressions from <a href="https://mastodon.pub.solar/tags/rstats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rstats</span></a> people :)</p>

As a result of that post, I was asked to join Posits private beta-testers for their new IDE, Positron. Eric R. Scott<p>Is today the day for me to try out <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a>? Is that a good activity for Friday brain?</p>

Dr. Robert M Flight<p>OK, now that I've got <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a> recognizing my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RStats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RStats</span></a> install, and the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/QuartoPub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>QuartoPub</span></a> extension installed, this is pretty sweet!</p><p>Splitting the editor window, means I can browse my {targets} workflow, and the documents and function definitions side-by-side!</p><p>The only weird thing is no zoom option for plotting. But `ragg::agg_png` and then click on the plot file in explorer is quick enough.</p>
Dr. Robert M Flight<p>If anyone else runs into this, it seems somehow my path names in the R shell script had quotes in them, which is totally unexpected (as of right now, anyways) for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a> . </p><p>Removing the quotes in that shell script fixed it, and doesn't seem to bother <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RStudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RStudio</span></a> either, thankfully.</p>
Dr. Robert M Flight<p>Thought I'd give <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Positron</span></a> a spin just to see if it worked better for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RStats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RStats</span></a> based stuff on Linux than VSCode (I've had issues getting VSCode to detect R, etc), and it won't detect my self-compiled version. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/RStudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RStudio</span></a> works just fine with it.</p><p>Bug issue filed.</p>
MilesMcBain<p>So I see <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/positron" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>positron</span></a> has dropped... Is this a leak, a soft launch or what?</p><p>I was just telling my {targets} workshop group today that the VSCode ecosystem is going to be way more relevant very soon. Didn't have to wait long!</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/rstats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rstats</span></a></p>
