Thom, Red Hat™ Xorg killer<p>I really want a tablet again, and the only tablet that's a valid choice is, of course, the Google <a href="https://exquisite.social/tags/PixelTablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PixelTablet</span></a>. Does anyone have an unused one lying around they'd like to sell? Pixel Tablets are kind of expensive in Sweden so new is just not an option.</p><p>Becoming a <a href="https://www.patreon.com/osnews" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Patreon</a> or <a href="https://ko-fi.com/thomholwerda" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">donating through Ko-Fi</a> also helps, of course!</p><p>Boosts equals love.</p>
Flipboard Tech Desk<p>Google I/O, the tech giant’s annual developer conference, is just weeks away, and we now have a schedule with some hints as to what’s in store.</p><p>The keynote will take place on May 14, with follow-up sessions to focus on some of the announcements. Sessions look to include a focus on the features of Wear OS 5, a lot of talk about Gemini AI and the usual expected updates to Android 15. But will we see any hardware announcements? Brad Linder<p>Google has done a lot of work to make Android more tablet-friendly in recent years, including adding better stylus support. While the new Pixel Tablet supports USI 2.0 pens, Google doesn't offer its own. But official Pixel Tablet pen &amp; keyboard accessories could be on the way. <a href="https://www.androidauthority.com/pixel-tablet-stylus-keyboard-accessories-3337476/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">androidauthority.com/pixel-tab</span><span class="invisible">let-stylus-keyboard-accessories-3337476/</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PixelTablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PixelTablet</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/DigitalPen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalPen</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Stylus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Stylus</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Keyboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Keyboard</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Google" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Google</span></a></p>

GrapheneOS<p>Initial GrapheneOS support for the Pixel Tablet is now available. It can be installed via our web installer (<a href="https://grapheneos.org/install/web" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">grapheneos.org/install/web</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>) or the official CLI install procedure. The basics are confirmed to work properly already and we're currently working on our first update for it.</p><p><a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/GrapheneOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GrapheneOS</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>privacy</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>security</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixel</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixeltablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixeltablet</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/tablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tablet</span></a></p>
GrapheneOS<p>We'll be heavily prioritizing adding support for the Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. It has been years since we supported a tablet (Nexus 9) and there will likely be additional work to support the form factor properly. Pixel Fold is a new form factor and may be difficult.</p><p><a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/grapheneos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>grapheneos</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>privacy</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>security</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixel</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixel7a" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixel7a</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixeltablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixeltablet</span></a> <a href="https://grapheneos.social/tags/pixelfold" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixelfold</span></a></p>
