Chrizzly<p>Ok so for the past day until now I have been fighting with the migration of my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/paperless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paperless</span></a> install from my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/raspberrypi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>raspberrypi</span></a> to my new <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/homeserver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>homeserver</span></a> ... now I seem to have found the solution why the import script did not want to run through! It's b/c of the german Umlauts!!! (ä,ü,ö) Manually edited the exported manifest.json to exclude all critical files with Umlauts in their title seems to have done it, now the import script ran through :catjam:</p>

Florian Haas<p>Folks using both <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/paperless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paperless</span></a> and a Linux desktop, what is your preferred ADF scanner (up to 50 sheets, ISO A4, with duplex support)?</p><p>I've been very happy with Canon flatbed scanners, but I've never had one with an automatic feeder, so I have no experience with the SANE support for those.</p><p>Boosts appreciated!</p><p>EDIT: thanks for the replies! Those gave me a lot of leads.</p>
George Hotelling<p>If you're the type to self-host apps on a Raspberry Pi or NAS, you absolutely need to check out Paperless-ngx. It manages scanned documents (hint: your phone can scan documents for you) so you can save them and search them. </p><p>You can email docs to Paperless-ngx, save them to a network folder, use a native app, or just upload them to the web app. It also works well with networked scanners. There are plenty of videos and blog posts to get started.</p><p><a href="https://docs.paperless-ngx.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">docs.paperless-ngx.com/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <a href="https://a2mi.social/tags/paperlessngx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paperlessngx</span></a> <a href="https://a2mi.social/tags/paperless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paperless</span></a></p>
Aaron Kuhn<p>Is there a <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/macOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macOS</span></a> / <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>apple</span></a> app that is basically like "Photos” but for Storing PDFs? Something kind of like PaperCut but just syncs your PDF / Scanned documents across devices, and puts them all in a database and makes searchable? Don’t really want the heavy-lift of running my own PaperCut server but love the idea of <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/paperless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>paperless</span></a> all in one location storage</p>
