Why are billionaires?

In today's episode of 'End of the US Empire' Larry Ellison wants to put all American's data, including health records & DNA, into a big Oracle system for AI to "study".

Of course the ultimate goal is constant, real-time surveillance of a population, which Ellison suggests will keep everyone "on their best behavior." How's that working out for the Uyghurs then?

Lord save us from US eugenicist nazi billionaires.

@inthehands I think I agree with you. I was on the bleeding edge of #InformationWareHousing #TeraData #Oracle #Cobol #Cscripts when Merck vertically integrated with Medco which became #ExpressScripts. Layer on #Y2K and #AnthraxEnvelopes. The question is what is the cost for the damage in human lives compared to the cost of code. With the #NewNihilism there will be #Wreckage if #RedStates are wrecked more than #BlueStates #WeAreWinning.

Larry Ellison’s PR pukes desperately follow the script.

A hacker claims to have breached #OracleCloud Infrastructure (OCI), stealing 6,000,000 records. But #Oracle Corp. says that’s not true.

However, many customers confirmed the data is genuine. Several researchers point to a four-year-old critical vulnerability as the hacker’s entry point. But still Oracle keeps up the pretense.

“There has been no breach,” the PR flaks cry. In #SBBlogwatch, we cry too. @TheFuturumGroup @TechstrongGroup @SecurityBlvd: securityboulevard.com/2025/03/

On a related note. I'm looking to assist with revitalising a Java project which will hopefully become open-source. What's the lay of the land for #Java projects - I've heard #Oracle are doing something daft with licencing..?
