Knapp eine Stunde - bei zwei Stunden Gesamtspielzeit - verbringen wir erstmal auf der Esther und sehen dabei zu, wie sich "the Boy" in "the Girl" verliebt und sich zwischen "the Bosun" und "the Gunner" eine humoristische Männerfreundschaft entwickelt, bevor die Barkasse dann endlich gekapert wird und zusammen mit ganz Tripolis von Lt. Stephen Decatur befreit werden muss.</p>

"Korsaren" (USA 1926, R: James Cruze), der diesen April seinen 99. Geburtstag feiert. Immer faszinierend, Filme anzuschauen, die inzwischen 100 Jahre alt sind. Dialoge gibts keine, von Farbe können wir nur träumen, aber das heißt nicht, dass der Einsatz der USS Constitution gegen die Piraten im Mittelmeer nicht sehenswert wäre.</p>
