"As was the case last year, there also is intense concern in some countries about a high level of #antisemitic incidents.

The Secure Community Network, which provides security and safety resources to hundreds of #Jewish organizations and institutions across #NorthAmerica, has been issuing frequent advisories ahead of #Passover.

Specifically, the group has warned of possible threats from white extremist groups, including some organizing along the U.S.-Canada border. SCN said key extremist anniversaries, including #Hitler’s birthday on April 20, coincide with the holiday, raising concerns about the risk of #violence targeting Jewish communities."

Somehow, supposedly with no infrastructure, money, facilities, or support at all, Hamas managed to find rocket scientists and the supplies to build more launchers and rockets.

Or, more likely, pay enough money to buy them.

Amazing, isn't it?

They supposedly can't afford food or water, yet have plenty of money to build and buy fuel for rockets.

It's a great mystery.

The 2 handover ceremonies were still highly orchestrated, w/masked gunmen escorting hostages onto stages where they displayed release certificates.

A 6th hostage, Hisham al-Sayed, who appeared to be in poor health in a video that #Hamas released in 2022, was turned over in #Gaza City & was not televised. al-Sayed & Mengistu were both captured by Hamas about 10 yrs ago, the rest were taken in the #Oct7 2023 attack.

The news set off a paroxysm of fury & agony in #Israel rarely seen since the tumultuous days that followed #Hamas’s attack on Israel on #Oct7, 2023, when up to 1,200 people were killed and 251 were abducted, including Ms. #Bibas & her sons, on the deadliest day in Israeli history.

Responding to the military’s announcement, PM Benjamin #Netanyahu of Israel returned to the language of vengeance that defined his speeches in the aftermath of that attack.

#Hamas continues to hold 66 hostages taken by the group during the #Oct7 attacks. Of those hostages, about 30 are believed to be alive. Hamas is also holding 2 hostages who were taken about a decade ago, as well as the remains of an Israeli soldier whose body was taken around the same time.

Hamas has offered to free all of the remaining #hostages from #Gaza at once, in return for a permanent #truce & a full #withdrawal of #Israel troops, per a stmnt Tues from spox Hazem Qassem.

#Hamas said the 4th body released was of #OdedLifshitz, a retired #journalist & #peace activist who was 83 at the time of the #Oct7 attacks. #Lifshitz was taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz w/ his wife, Yocheved, who was released by #Hamas wks later for “crushing humanitarian reasons,” per a stmnt from the group at the time.

Yocheved, who is also in her 80s, described the “unimaginable hell” of her time in captivity, which included beatings & being held in a “spiderweb” of tunnels.

#Hamas released the bodies of 4 hostages Thurs, including…the remains of a mother & her 2 young children, members of the #Bibas family, whose story came to symbolize the brutality of the #Oct7, 2023 attacks.

…The deaths of Shiri Bibas & her sons—Ariel, who was 4yrs old, & Kfir, who was 8½ months old at the time of the abduction—were suspected for months, but only confirmed when Hamas announced their bodies would be among those released.
