I have two teenagers, a husband, and a cat called Bluebell. After more than a decade as a SAHM I now work as an administrator for a company that manages the environmental upkeep of Defence bases. I still feel like the work experience kid and find I don’t have time for much else besides work and housework any more. I love watching good quality tv and movies, having a laugh or playing Just Dance with the kids, and going for walks in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/nature" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#nature</a> or exploring new cities with my family. Got to <a href="https://aus.social/tags/travel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#travel</a> a fair bit pre-pandemic, saw a lot of Asia, never got to South America, wouldn’t mind getting back over to Europe some day. I read plenty of <a href="https://aus.social/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#books</a> (mostly <a href="https://aus.social/tags/LiteraryFiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LiteraryFiction</a>) including <a href="https://aus.social/tags/audiobooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#audiobooks</a> on my commute. I’m trying to learn to speak <a href="https://aus.social/tags/French" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#French</a> with Duolingo but finding it hard to progress despite my 1473+ day streak (I really don’t practice enough).
