Today is #BandcampFriday! (thank you @etherdiver for the reminder: ravenation.club/@etherdiver/11)

I've participated before, but this is my first one since cancelling my music subscription and self-hosting #Navidrome instead (more on that here: elk.zone/vis.social/@candide/1 and here: vis.social/@candide/1141749713)

While I try out navidrome, my new habit will be to support the indie artists I love directly (via music purchases, attending live shows, etc.)

See you at the next one: isitbandcampfriday.com/

@zef @silverbulletmd I am #selfhosting #navidrome, but recently discovered #kew ( github.com/ravachol/kew ) and it has completely taken over all music playing when I am at my home pc. Among other things, typing in terminal "kew"+"some artist/album's name" starts shuffled reproduction of it. Fastest way I have ever had music served.

Giving #navidrome on my Nas a try.

I recently noticed that I don't listen to my MP3s a lot because I don't like my #MP3 player app.

Now I took the opportunity to try getting away from having my music in the cloud and just have it on my local nas via vpn.

Another tiny step out of US corporate clouds.
