HOTCHKA<p>Legendary composer Lalo Schifrin has died at 93. Schifrin famously composed the theme for "Mission: Impossible" and did scores for over 100 movies and TV shows including The Amityville Horror and Cool Hand Luke. The positive reviews, high audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, standing ovation in Cannes…<br>And MI:7 was fire.</p>
sgt1372<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://wantstoruletheworld.com/@mookie" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>mookie</span></a></span> Ok, so I just finished re-watching <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/MissionImpossible" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MissionImpossible</span></a> 1-7 after seeing MI8 at my local AMC.</p><p>If I were just ranking the movies for entertainment value, I'd agree with you the MI5 -- Fallout -- probably is the most exciting with MI4 - Ghost Protocol a close 2nd but, after re-watching all of these films I'd rate them exactly in the order they were released, except for MI2, which I don't think belongs in the series &amp; seems entirely out of place &amp; should be rated last because of that.</p><p>If you consider them all together, they really are a serial starting with MI3 each containing links (<a href="https://sfba.social/tags/EasterEggs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EasterEggs</span></a>) to others in the series &amp; when I looked back I saw MI5 &amp; 6 (Rogue Nation &amp; Fallout) being parts 1 &amp; 2 of the same movie, like MI 7 &amp; 8 (Dead &amp; Final Reckoning) are, &amp; so cannot be rated separately IMO,</p><p>So, this is my rankings for the series:</p><p>1: MI 1<br>2) MI 3 <br>3) MI 4 - Ghost Protocol <br>4) MI 5/6 - Rogue Nation/Fallout <br>5) MI 7/8 - Dead/Final Reckoning <br>6) MI 2</p>
