I don't want to unfollow my follows as they're generally lovely people. For many months now, maybe as far back as when you reported this, I've had trouble under Android where you coming messages do not get a badge on the Android desktop and do not make a noise. I have relevant notification settings turned on in Megalodon, and when I first set it all up it did work with notifications. They just one day stopped, and I don't remember precisely when, nor do I know whether it was caused by Android or Megalodon.
