HimselfI've stopped using <a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Substack" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Substack</a> for quite a while now (yes, the Nazi thing) but I have yet to find a replacement. I thought that <a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Jetpack" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Jetpack</a> 's Newsletter function would work as a replacement (Do I really need a newsletter in addition to my blogs? Couldn't they just double as newsletters?) but it kinda sucks. Yes, I know, <a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Ghost" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Ghost</a> is all the rage, but you see, Ghost is not free, and I'm not made of money, and the last time I checked I had one paying subscriber on Substack. So, do you know any newsletter system that could work for me? Either inside a Wordpress site, or as a separate entity, but free and if possible not owned by an evil corporation? I currently have about 300 subscribers (and one unique paying one, if they still are, I'm not even sure) I heard that <a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Beehiiv" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Beehiiv</a> could work as a replacement. What do you think? Matt BruntI've posted it before in the past but I'll post it again:The single best thing I ever did with my <a href="https://brunty.social/tags/email" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#email</a> account(s) was to set up a <a href="https://brunty.social/tags/filter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#filter</a> for <a href="https://brunty.social/tags/MailingLists" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MailingLists</a> or <a href="https://brunty.social/tags/Subscriptions" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Subscriptions</a> and have it skip the inbox and apply a label to it.It catches 99% of things and makes me very happy to not have them in my inbox or notifications.(Also makes them easy to find to unsubscribe etc)
