This is what an insect looks like in infrared light with the white balance being set-up to have the vegetation in white. If you have any tips on IR macro, please share them with me.

It's orchid season. Some species photographed in Charente (France): yellow bee-orchid (Ophrys lutea), fly orchid (Ophrys insectifera), Green-winged orchid (Anacamptis morio), Ophrys passionis.

The last one in this mini-series, and unlike the 2 before it, this one is actually processed from a single shot. I've posted a shot similar to this months ago, processed in the same manner (called it "dragon nest 龍之巢" or something similar), but that old shot was actually (if I remember correctly) shot using 50mm, and it was for a mini-sunflower and not an oxeye like this one. I read once that one name for the oxeye, among others, is the "fake/pseudo- sunflower" 🤷🏻‍♂️
