Kevin Karhan :verified:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://cr8r.gg/@kallemp" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>kallemp</span></a></span> I didn't bother with <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/LoRa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LoRa</span></a> due to it being patented and <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Meshtastic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Meshtastic</span></a> for tending to pollute <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/ISM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ISM</span></a> spectrum.</p><p>Also <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/CEPT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CEPT</span></a> does have data channels on <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/CB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CB</span></a> radio that are allowed to be used.</p><ul><li>Given the low duty cycle, I'd say it's worth using said <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/LicensingFree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LicensingFree</span></a> channels. Espechally since the only <em>"regulated"</em> part are transmitters and those are just transparent cheap boxes, so <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/AFSK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AFSK</span></a> will be fine.</li></ul><p>OFC one could use this across any spectrum or means, ranging from WSJT - moonbouncing at extreme narrowband and high frequences to <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/UHFSATCOM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHFSATCOM</span></a> radio piracy. Obviously I disrecommend the latter for legal reasons!</p><ul><li>OFC one could also use it across i.e. <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Iridium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Iridium</span></a> and other <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/SATCOM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SATCOM</span></a> and regular <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/VHF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VHF</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/UHF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHF</span></a> radios or even just print messages as QR-Codes...</li></ul>
