🧊 freezr 🥶<p><b>Mini PCs rule!</b></p><p>This evening it is finally arrived the GMKtec Mini Computer Intel N97 12gen Alder Lake I ordered a couple of weeks ago.</p><p>Now I look forward to install <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=FreeBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FreeBSD</span></a> on it, and to <b>taste that joy you feel when you erase <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a> from a brand new computer...</b> 😍</p><p>If you see at the dimensions, it is just slightly bigger than a <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=RPI2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPI2</span></a>, while it is much more powerful than a <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=RPI5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPI5</span></a> and it came equipped with 12GB and 256GB SSD. Not bad! 😏</p><p>It will replace my <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=LibreComputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LibreComputer</span></a> <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=Renegade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Renegade</span></a>, which has served me very well so far, but now I need more power and the ability to work on a browser without hiccups...</p><p>If everything is going to work as I wish, I am going to release a new article about my (new) <a href="https://friendica.myportal.social/search?tag=ghostpc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ghostpc</span></a> with this tiny computer running FreeBSD.</p>

I was just reading about <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Podman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Podman</span></a> as a drop-in replacement for Docker. Does anyone have any experience using it? Will it use noticeably less system resources? Any gotchas?</p>
