Great policy! Mine too 😉

But…
>> #WhackATroll #Toodles?

I haven't seen his other posts, but TBH, in this post he didn't say that ONLY the people voting for #lesserEvil are to blame.

That #MAGA and #Trump voters are ALSO to blame is obvious and implicit 🙂

Now, please put PP in a can 👍

Their Facebook, which was last updated in 2014 and was never used much, states they were at one time employed by LesserEvil: facebook.com/edward.coristine

They did work at LesserEvil in 2012, according to a now-deleted Facebook post: bostonglobe.com/2025/02/04/met

Their father bought LesserEvil in 2011: cnbc.com/2024/09/07/lesserevil
It's possible he hired his son when he bought the company.

Obviously, that does not mean the company or it's leadership supports them today.
Unless someone has actual evidence of their support, this is just speculation, and baseless speculation should not be enough to punish a company.
Sure, sometimes children share their parent's beliefs, but that should not be taken as an absolute. Parents certainly shouldn't automatically be held guilty of their child's crimes.

@topher @nekohayo I do agree that this is a serious concern, but given the even harder and faster #Enshittification, it seems still as a "#LesserEvil" to me compared to #Windows and #macOS.

  • I know that's the worst possible "sales pitch", but I'd rather choose becoming an #Amish than using Windows 11!

OFC I'd love to know what - besides #CLI & #TUI tools - you depend upon.

It's basically a good #neovim preconfiguration and can be pretty awesome if you don't want to deep-dive into #OhMyZsh like @fuchsiii did.

@egalitaire @benfell the problem is the inherently shit system of the #USA.

I know this is bad but I"d rather see people try to prevent a #christofacist #dictator by all means necessary (starting with elections OFC!) than conditionlessly surrendering to #Project2025 without a fight.

  • Because this isn't (just) about the 313M people in the #USA, but #USpol decides the fate of over 1B people who never got any say in it whether they like it or not and I'm one of them...

I wish it was different but sadly that's the #shitshow we've got now...

the problem is that in a utterly #classist and #AntiDemocratic System like the #USA people only have the choice to vite for a #LesserEvil aka. the guy who didn't promise to instare a #Christofacist #Dicratorship and commit literal #Democide and #Genocide at home...

I know that's still not a good choice (a good choice would be #BernieSanders & #AOC!) but sadly choosing anything else will eother get drowned due to #FirstPastThePost & #WinnerTakesAll shite and/pr would empower the #OrangeTyrant!

No one believes Cornel West will get elected, so it's obvious that voting for him is virtue signalling (tired-of-voting-for-lesser-evil). But a vote for West is a wasted opportunity to defend women from christo-fascists, and to defend the US from becoming a Russian satellite nation, making it more likely Trump is elected.

But hey, worth it if you can feel morally superior, right?

@evan Serious answer:

In general, one ought to choose the lesser evil, but it may occur that all choices are so gravely wrong that they are disqualified; it would be unethical to choose any one of them.

For instance, if I have 3 candidates, one promising to seize the Alaskan panhandle; another to annex the Danish half of Hans Island; and the third to conquer the Turks and Caicos — then I ought to spoil my ballot.

This is ultimately a question of the limits of #utilitarian ethics.
