@W6KME

I know you meant both radio (ham), and telling people (cat out of bag), but I swear my first reading was letting a literal cat out of a carrying case at a meeting involving the pig-based food substance.

That was a very different mental picture.

Perhaps I should not operate the link clicking machine before coffee.

@adhdeanasl #JFC, victim blame much?! The Democrats didn't give people a choice, you know, the #LITERAL definition of their party. No DNC, no primary alternatives, just #GenocideJoe, an octogenarian with dementia.
When #CopMala took over, a black woman who defied Federal Court orders to keep California citizens locked up so she could use #SlaveLabor.
She was never going to win, when Americans hate Blacks but hate Women more. I guess #NeverAgain means nothing to you.

Autistic tidbits…

Disclaimer: this post reflects my experiences with "my" autism. I use phrases like that, "my autism" as it defines me and my way of thinking and doing things. I do not wish to offend anyone with my language and choice of words. Also, English isn't my native language, so I am sometimes a bit limited when I try to find the right words to describe a feeling or exeperience. I am no expert, I write solely about me and my life in this post. If you find any of this offensive, then I am sorry. But we all experience our "NeuroSpicy-ness" in different ways, and this is how I experience mine. Thanks for understanding. Living as an autistic person, or "with autism", is different for every one of us. Sure, we have overlapping bits and bops, we understand things about each other that Neurodivergent people don't get as easily as we do. But our spicy-ness is on a spectrum, or so they say, and it had many different tastes and flavors. And sometimes, something happens that I don't realize at the time, which will later turn out to be a "fine example" of my kind of spicy... 🌶️ […]

This has been a problem for me all my life. When I ask for clarification on ambiguous questions/assignments, I've been called a smartass or a dumbass and am chided for not understanding the obvious. I've been called a disturber or told to use my brain. It's left me paranoid and wondering if subconsciously I am doing this on purpose. A lifetime of gaslighting.

The same thing goes when people use synecdoche and I think they're being literal. As an example, years ago, my in-laws, a military family, were talking about war and said "when we were in the Middle East." Confused, I said, "oh, I hadn't realized you lived there too."

This made them blow up at me because apparently I was supposed to know the "we" meant the Canadian military in general, and not my in-laws.
