June Squibb has been working solidly since the 1950s — almost exclusively in theater until she hit her 60s and found herself playing a maid in Woody Allen's "Alice." She was Oscar-nominated at 84 for her role in "Nebraska," and now, at 94, has her first starring role in "Thelma." She talked to Vulture's Rachel Handler about working with Woody Allen and Alexander Payne, thinking about death, and being a tough kid who quit kindergarten. “All they did was take naps and eat cookies,” she says. “And I just thought that was pretty dumb.”
