Rich Stein (he/him)<p>One of the joys when I lived in London, was going to the Tate (only one then) &amp; walking into a gallery where a Turner was displayed — the light! Wonderful! A friend introduced me to Turner, as well as the pleasure of returning to museums over &amp; over &amp; not trying to consume everything all at once. "Museums go to your feet," she would say, if you try to take everything in on one visit.<br> <br>What a great (re)discovery—<br><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2025/jun/06/one-of-jmw-turner-earliest-paintings-rediscovered-150-years" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">theguardian.com/artanddesign/2</span><span class="invisible">025/jun/06/one-of-jmw-turner-earliest-paintings-rediscovered-150-years</span></a><br>h/t <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gutenberg_org" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>gutenberg_org</span></a></span><br><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gutenberg_org/114698320066193572" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mastodon.social/@gutenberg_org</span><span class="invisible">/114698320066193572</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JMWTurner" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JMWTurner</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a></p>
