#EricAdams, a *Democrat*, is resisting growing calls to resign. Gov #KathyHochul is also under increasing pressure to remove him from office.

The 4 ofcls who are expected to resign are all respected govt veterans. Ms. Torres-Springer was elevated to the 2nd most powerful job at City Hall in Oct in an effort to stabilize city govt & restore confidence in his admin following the mayor’s federal #indictment in Sept on 5 #corruption counts.

Re #Trump’s claims that #JackieSmith’s filing is in violation of the #DOJ’s 60 day before an election policy is BS. The DOJ's "60-day rule" applies to bringing NEW indictments in the days leading up to an #election, it is not relevant to the #ElectionInterference / #ElectionSubversion / #Jan6 / #FakeElectors #criminal #conspiracy case.

This is NOT a new #indictment. It is a #filing in regard to a VERY OLD indictment. Trump was first indicted in this case in Aug 2023.

And all of the defendant’s remaining conduct was unofficial: as content, form, and context show, the defendant was acting in his capacity as a candidate for reelection, not in his capacity as President. An #Alaska man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to torture and assassinate 6 #SCOTUS justices & their relatives, the #DOJ announced Thurs.

Panos Anastasiou, 76, allegedly sent >465 messages through the #SupremeCourt’s public website — many of them #violent, #racist & #homophobic, acc/to an #indictment filed Wednesday.

He faces 22 federal charges: 9 counts of making #threats against a federal judge & 13 counts of making threats in interstate commerce.

The details included in the #SeanCombs #Racketeering #SexTrafficking #SexualAbuse #indictment are pretty horrific. Clearly prosecutors have an enormous amount of evidence including video.

A few details that stick out:

He kept sex workers drugged & artificially hydrated to keep them against their will & to continue in the abuse.

He used firearms to threaten them.

He video recorded to blackmail them into silence.

Multiple people in his employment were complicit or actively participated.
