Small redesign of railway signal.

I'm starting to see the grand vision of the game. Setting up rails and signals on them to manage movement of carts using most optimized way. I will then test if they can or can not be destroyed on collision - perhaps they just need to stop/revert.

What I an not crack is the extraction of resources part. To be intuitive and semi-realistic.

Questions and an idea for my #USAnian friends...

Your ~~feral~~ federal government is currently being commandeered by an executive that believes that it can rewrite the U.S. constitution via executive orders. One of the primary techniques they are using is usurping the congress's "power of the purse", by either refusing to spend congressionally-allocated funds, or by spending those funds on things other than congress allocated them for.

If the executive branch thinks it's fine to ignore your constitution and screw taxpayers with tax dollars, then...

1) Most of the feds' tax income comes from income tax and various #employment taxes.

2) Employers collect these taxes and remit them to the government.

3) Q: exactly *who* do they remit them to? Based on history, I would think this would be a state agency, who would keep the state/municipal portion and remit the rest to the federal government. Is this correct?

4) "Blue" states are, in general, net payers of tax dollars vs. federal services received.

5) "Red" states are, in general, the opposite - they receive more in federal services / support than they remit in taxes.

So, depending on the answer to (3), my #idea is: why don't blue states stop remitting funds to the federal #government? Don't steal it, just hold it in trust until the feds can be made to follow the law correctly.

I would think this would hurt the feds, a *lot*.

This appears to be a reference to the federal #law known as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (#IDEA), which the #Education Dept administers. The law guarantees students w/ #disabilities the right to a #free, appropriate education &, in 2024, sent ~$15B to schools to help pay for #SpecialEducation services. The law also makes clear that it is the secretary of education's responsibility to administer these funds.

Here’s your friendly reminder that #charterschools came about as a white reaction to #desegregation, which tells you all you need to know about the intended beneficiaries of #SchoolVouchers. But if there’s no #departmentofeducation there’s no one to ensure #IDEA and other #civilrights are being enforced in your new for-profit “#schools. Neither will there be a nonprofit group collecting #data to track #educational outcomes for #students attending for-profit schools.

"Meanwhile, corporate media asks, “Can he do that?” These stories are engineered to distract the public with technicalities. While everyone’s debating what they can and can’t do, they are doing it.

We know this administration’s pattern of loose interpretation when it comes to law and historical precedent. There’s no reason to believe he’ll stop here, instead using this act to use force against anyone his administration considers a threat, regardless of their status or what they’re protesting.

You also have to remember this country has a long, established history of censoring speech and leading witch hunts. During WWI, god help you if you didn’t buy enough liberty bonds or called yourself a pacifist.

We’re the land of moral panics.

Every single one of this administration’s actions have been building toward this moment, when the president suspends our civil and human rights. It explains why they’ve taken such aggressive action toward federal agencies, firing tens of thousands of workers and purging their ranks of anyone who might say no. They’ve already been testing boundaries, daring courts to stop them as they shut down government operations and kidnap U.S. citizens."

>> I think we can both agree that what #India has now is much better than the #British #Raj. The separation of states, good or bad in itself, was managed disastrously, though.

Sure. This gets to the crux of the matter — The difference between an #idea and its #implementation.

Idea of a #TwoStateSolution was better for #India - #Pakistan. It was better for #Israel - #Palestine too — had the latter not recklessly rejected it in 1947 in pursuit of #PanArabism #Arabism.
