I'm on season one – streaming via <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tubi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tubi</span></a>.</p><p>I love the shots in Montreal's Dorchester Square where they introduce each segment. The copy is usually awkward with sudden unexplained jargon. </p><p>I assume the scripts must've been written in French then just translated poorly. Word choices are sometimes strange and often weirdly colloquial.</p><p>All of that of course is what made it so charming and popular. Plus of course all the fantastic factory footage.</p>
Ether Diver<p>My favorite song? Well, like picking a favorite child but unlike that situation, no one's feelings are gonna be hurt so... I'd say "Psychedelic Ghost Story" overall but it's close! I used a bunch of its plugin synths. Its <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/workflow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>workflow</span></a> and capabilities shaped the album from beginning to end. Ether Diver<p>The <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/MicroFreak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MicroFreak</span></a> was both a driver of the album's sound ("New Machine Gods" wouldn't be remotely the same without it) and a shockingly flexible chameleon when needed (it's everywhere -- bass, drums, leads, pads, fx, frigging VOCALS!). Wouldn't trade it for the world. Ether Diver<p>My primary goal for the album was simply to continue my development as a creator from my last release -- to make an album that was better written, better sounding and more indicative of where I was at creatively. Ether Diver<p>I started with a preset on the maximizer and tweaked it to my needs. I used very modest settings overall. A little bit of boost on the highs for most every track, some mid shaping (mostly small cuts) and whatever else the track needed. Ether Diver<p>Once I had some mixes I was more or less comfortable with (and I definitely have things on every track I would go back and tweak... but it was time to let them go) I transitioned to <a href="https://ravenation.club/tags/mastering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mastering</span></a>.
