Eco Youths Network UgandaIt’s me in the photo, 4 years ago in high school, where I was inspired to engage in sustainable projects, eco-services, and nature protection. We were driven to fight hidden hunger caused by malnutrition in our country. I wasn’t too young to see the struggles in and out of school. The land we use for our <a href="https://mas.to/tags/youthprojects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#youthprojects</a> is rented, and we’ve been asked to clear 4–5 months of rent. To continue our work on <a href="https://mas.to/tags/HiddenHunger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HiddenHunger</a>, <a href="https://mas.to/tags/sustainablefarming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#sustainablefarming</a>, and <a href="https://mas.to/tags/greeninitiatives" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#greeninitiatives</a>, we must secure this space. Eco Youths Network UgandaDuring the strong <a href="https://mas.to/tags/sunshine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#sunshine</a> we <a href="https://mas.to/tags/UgandaEcoYouthsNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#UgandaEcoYouthsNetwork</a> found a smart <a href="https://mas.to/tags/ecoFriendly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ecoFriendly</a> way to keep water in our crops by using dried materials cut from our <a href="https://mas.to/tags/banana" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#banana</a> plantations to cover the soil around our <a href="https://mas.to/tags/eggplants" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#eggplants</a> this simple <a href="https://mas.to/tags/climateSmart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#climateSmart</a> method helps the soil stay cool and moist even in dry weather and protects our food from drying out it's how we fight <a href="https://mas.to/tags/hiddenHunger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#hiddenHunger</a> through <a href="https://mas.to/tags/sustainableFarming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#sustainableFarming</a> and local innovation we never give up because <a href="https://mas.to/tags/youthInAg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#youthInAg</a> can <a href="https://mas.to/tags/stopHunger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#stopHunger</a> and build a resilient future.

Eco Youths Network UgandaWe now have 76 healthy jackfruit trees ready to be shared in church yards and 4 schools in Kyankwanzi District we had aimed for 120 but some didn’t survive during germination, the remaining will still support <a href="https://mas.to/tags/EcoFriendly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#EcoFriendly</a> actions, <a href="https://mas.to/tags/TreePlanting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TreePlanting</a> and fight against <a href="https://mas.to/tags/HiddenHunger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HiddenHunger</a> as part of our <a href="https://mas.to/tags/SustainableProjects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SustainableProjects</a> in <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Kyankwanzi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Kyankwanzi</a> for <a href="https://mas.to/tags/FoodSecurity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#FoodSecurity</a> and <a href="https://mas.to/tags/ClimateAction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ClimateAction</a> very soon we shall be planting our trees <a href="https://mas.to/tags/UgandaEcoYouthsNetwork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#UgandaEcoYouthsNetwork</a> . We received a message from the Headteacher of Fairway Nursery & Primary School asking us to visit and discuss with their staff about fighting <a href="https://mas.to/tags/HiddenHunger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HiddenHunger</a> and how they can sustain themselves. They have land but lack the skills.
