So this is a fun #Audio tool for #macOS if you listen to various #HiRes and/or #LosslessAudio formats and want to switch a digital output to the matching #SampleRate on playback - https://github.com/vincentneo/LosslessSwitcher
I'd love for it to match discrete output channels and bitrate along with sample rate to account for multichannel source material I may have to play with the #CoreAudio tricks they use for the app.

Will mostly be posting about new non-fiction #books (both scholarly and wider audience), #ScienceFiction, #Ecology, #astronomy, and #HiRes music.
Will also post about #SciFi such as #StarTrek, #BattlestarGalactica (Ronald D. Moore), #Babylon5, #Foundation, #TheOrville, #ForAllMankind.
Traditional reader of scholarly non-fiction who spends more and more time reading #TrekBooks / #TrekLit.
New instance, new #introduction
I will mostly be sharing what I am listening to. Perhaps with the occasional review. I collect #HiRes recordings. I grew up in the lofi scene and spent over 20 years as a mutli-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter. I listen across genres, including #ClassicalMusic, #Jazz (mostly 50s and 60s), #FolkMusic, #60sMusic, #IndieMusic, and experimental.
I am first believer in the communal experience of music and its transformative healing powers, socially and personal.
@allenmichie I totally missed the release of In Concert at the Olympia, Paris 1957. I don't know why that #MilesDavis album is not available as a #HiRes download. I only buy CDs if the album is out of print and/or too obscure to be available as a download. Importing CDs is never good quality. I don't why CDs are still a thing. One has to have a $15,000 home system to make them sound good.
@Cart That is a great album. That was the first live #NeilYoung album I ever got. I have just about all of them now. I actually have too many Neil albums to take up the valuable 1TB space on my #HiRes audio player. It takes a 2TB microSD, but those aren't available yet.
This account will not be much more than me sharing what #jazz album I am listening to. Over the course of my life I have moved along through every media type, but the last few years have built up a large #HiRes library. Still, I will be first to tell you that vinyl is better.
I also listen to classical music, indie and some world music, but created @Chaconne for that just to make things less confusing.
#MilesDavis's Columbia release, Sorcerer, which includes, #HerbieHancock, #RonCarter, #WayneShorter, #PaulChambers, #JimmyCobb and more
This account will not be hyperactive. I imagine I will mostly post what I am listening to at the moment. I listen to #ClassicalMusic, #Jazz, #IndieMusic, #60sMusic, and more. Perhaps I may post the occasional short review or some #music news that catches my interest. I am a #HiRes #audiophile. #Introduction
Recently picked up two Conrad Herwig albums. The Latin Side of Mingus as well as The Latin Side of Horace Silver. Though I have not had a chance to listen to the #HoraceSilver album yet, the #CharlesMingus album was truly great. I highly recommend. A++
Herwig also made another tribute album with the same titled theme, The Latin Side Of #WayneShorter but it is not available in #HiRes, otherwise I would have got it.
