IvanToday I shook off the dust from my FiiO X3 player and listened to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album in full. I almost forgot how good it is with this setup so I had to stop my work till it ended. <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/AmateurPhotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AmateurPhotography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Pixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Pixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/GalaxyS20FE?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GalaxyS20FE</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/mobilephoto?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#mobilephoto</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/mobilephotography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#mobilephotography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photography?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#photography</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/photo?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#photo</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/music?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#music</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/player?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#player</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/fiio?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#fiio</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/earphones?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#earphones</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/hires?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#hires</a>

Richard<p>New instance, new <a href="https://musician.social/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> </p><p>I will mostly be sharing what I am listening to. Perhaps with the occasional review. I collect <a href="https://musician.social/tags/HiRes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HiRes</span></a> recordings. I grew up in the lofi scene and spent over 20 years as a mutli-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter. I listen across genres, including <a href="https://musician.social/tags/ClassicalMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ClassicalMusic</span></a>, <a href="https://musician.social/tags/Jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Jazz</span></a> (mostly 50s and 60s), <a href="https://musician.social/tags/FolkMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FolkMusic</span></a>, <a href="https://musician.social/tags/60sMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>60sMusic</span></a>, <a href="https://musician.social/tags/IndieMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndieMusic</span></a>, and experimental. </p><p>I am first believer in the communal experience of music and its transformative healing powers, socially and personal.</p>
Richard<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://jazztodon.com/@allenmichie" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>allenmichie</span></a></span> I totally missed the release of In Concert at the Olympia, Paris 1957. I don't know why that <a href="https://bach.social/tags/MilesDavis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MilesDavis</span></a> album is not available as a <a href="https://bach.social/tags/HiRes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HiRes</span></a> download. I only buy CDs if the album is out of print and/or too obscure to be available as a download. Importing CDs is never good quality. I don't why CDs are still a thing. One has to have a $15,000 home system to make them sound good.</p>
Richard<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.art/@Cart" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Cart</span></a></span> That is a great album. That was the first live <a href="https://bach.social/tags/NeilYoung" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NeilYoung</span></a> album I ever got. I have just about all of them now. I actually have too many Neil albums to take up the valuable 1TB space on my <a href="https://bach.social/tags/HiRes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HiRes</span></a> audio player. It takes a 2TB microSD, but those aren't available yet.</p>
Richard<p>This account will not be much more than me sharing what <a href="https://mingus.social/tags/jazz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>jazz</span></a> album I am listening to. Still, I will be first to tell you that vinyl is better. </p><p>I also listen to classical music, indie and some world music, but created <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://bach.social/@Chaconne" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Chaconne</span></a></span> for that just to make things less confusing.</p><p><a href="https://mingus.social/tags/Introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Introduction</span></a></p>

Richard<p>Recently picked up two Conrad Herwig albums. The Latin Side of Mingus as well as The Latin Side of Horace Silver. Though I have not had a chance to listen to the <a href="https://musician.social/tags/HoraceSilver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HoraceSilver</span></a> album yet, the <a href="https://musician.social/tags/CharlesMingus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CharlesMingus</span></a> album was truly great.
