John Carlsen 🇺🇸🇳🇱🇪🇺<p>I love music.</p><p>Lately while doing yard work, I've been plugging in using my smartphone and Honeywell (Howard Leight) Impact Sport electronic ear protectors. (I just add a 3.5mm cable and USB-C headset adapter.)</p><p>Though they're not high-end enough to claim/do "active noise reduction", they allow me to hear quiet noises (if desired, much better than my unaided hearing) while automatically screening out loud noises such as lawnmowers or chainsaws.</p><p>They can also be renewed with inexpensive kits to replace the pads and foam screens (available the last time I looked).</p><p>At just $60 (Amazon or better retailers), these provide great value, and had been a staple for me on a gun range. (I traded a huge volume of these through the pro shop.)</p><p>uses 2 AAA cells (I use NmH rechargeables)</p><p><a href="https://sps.honeywell.com/us/en/products/safety/hearing-protection/electronic-earmuffs/impact-sport" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">sps.honeywell.com/us/en/produc</span><span class="invisible">ts/safety/hearing-protection/electronic-earmuffs/impact-sport</span></a></p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/HearingProtection" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HearingProtection</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/PPD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PPD</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/StereoHeadset" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StereoHeadset</span></a></p>
