Wintermane ¦ Human in training<p>So apparently a buddy has been using <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/garuda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garuda</span></a> and sings it's praises quite highly for gaming but I'd like to get some more opinions on it from other users. Ezlin<p>Garuda's UI was so bad that I couldn't make it beyond the Live environment. Legitimately, I would rather use Windows 8 again.</p><p>I'm currently in Linux Mint and if a user interface were ever to be designed by Fisher-Price, Mint is that UI.</p><p>BUT. It's not /bad/. I don't like it, clearly, but it's not bad. This one's just a matter of personal preference.</p><p>I plan to move files off of the drive CachyOS couldn't read so that I can format it, then try CachyOS again.</p><p><a href="https://gamepad.club/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://gamepad.club/tags/garuda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garuda</span></a> <a href="https://gamepad.club/tags/mint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mint</span></a> <a href="https://gamepad.club/tags/linuxmint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linuxmint</span></a></p>

Ercanbrack<p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/linuxtablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linuxtablet</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/linuxaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linuxaudio</span></a> Arch can be installed through the CLI, as well as through <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/archinstall" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>archinstall</span></a>. In addition, there are at least two additional independent installer projects. These all use vanilla Arch. Then there are the Arch family of distros. The ones that immediately catch my attention are: <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/endeavouros" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>endeavouros</span></a> (what I currently use), <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/garuda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garuda</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/rebornos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rebornos</span></a>, and <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/manjaro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>manjaro</span></a> linux. These all benefit from the AUR and from being rolling releases. Most are highly configurable and benefit from the Arch wiki.</p>
