FKA ZOG
question about fitness trackers / smart watches using #gadgetbridge

are there any supported by gadgetbridge that you can disable any config change actions (or any action, set it to ignore the touch screen?) so they just function as watches.. with all the "smarts" (fitness tracking stuff) monitored and controlled from the associated phone?

myself and my wife frustrated by our various mi bands deleting faces, factory resetting , getting stuck in submenus, etc, just from inadvertent random touches during normal use.

Aires
Decided to play around with #Gadgetbridge as an alternative to the #Garmin apps, and it's way better than I expected! They put a ton of effort into building a UI that looks familiar to Garmin Connect, while also being its own thing.

The main issues so far: getting my watch to auto-reconnect, no access to the Garmin store, and on a more minor note, not having access to social features. The first one is fixable, but the other two are trickier. But for an open source project trying to reimplement proprietary walled gardens, it's pretty sick

https://aires.fyi/blog/switching-from-garmin-to-gadgetbridge/

tobias
Any #gadgetbridge users out there? My #Amazfit Bip 5 is out of sync — the latest workouts haven't synced, and "Reconnect and fetch data" doesn't help. Last time this happened, I had to reinstall the Zepp app and fetch a new Bluetooth key, which fixed it — but that's a terrible workaround.
