Rory<p>I'm lying here in bed getting cuddles and kind of want to reflect on my weekend at <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Furggedaboutit2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Furggedaboutit2025</span></a>...</p><p>So I think first of all, and something worth really emphasizing, was that <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/GSFTW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GSFTW</span></a> was a litmus test for the <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/furry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>furry</span></a> community and especially the <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/furry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>furry</span></a> community in the US right now. </p><p>It asked us collectively if we were up to the task of tolerating our community spaces being eroded away and taken over by fascists and hate groups who want to see our most vulnerable parts of our community suffer or if we would take a stand and stamp out problematic aspects of our community. Tolerance vs Intolerance.</p><p>I'm proud to say that this community understood the assignment. <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/GSFTW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GSFTW</span></a> was held accountable by the community and the collective action to make a safe space in the wake of the dereliction of responsibility we place in <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/furcons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>furcons</span></a> to be a safe space was accomplished through <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/furgeddaboutit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>furgeddaboutit</span></a>.</p><p>These are interesting times and the only way we will survive them is through strong, resilient communities.</p><p><a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/thoughts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>thoughts</span></a></p>
