Went looking at rugs today for no good reason. I think this was a display for a bunch of custom rugs you could have made, in any assortment of some 50 colors of wool.

They were SO fuzzy! Definitely did not inquire as to price... #Rugs #Color #Fuzzy

One of 2 pictures which are close-ups of a set of dyed wool "blossoms" or something... each one is about an inch and a half across, and they're all crowded together. And the COLORS! This pic has a set of full little colorful wool tufts in a 3 across by 5 high section. Halves of the other colors are visible around the edge of the pic. At the bottom are the reds, pinks and oranges, then transitioning through the greens up to the blues and purples. Did I mention how fuzzy they were?
Another photo of the same large square of dyed wool tufts. It's like an entire chessboard of multi-colored little wool pom-poms. This one is clipped right at the 3x5 size, and moves from browns and yellows down low through more reds and plums up to pinks and then teals.

#Canadian #prairie #jackrabbits in #Saskatchewan...

I'm fortunate that the area I live in is near the edge of the city, and my house backs onto a green space (used for storm drainage and flood control, as well as a walking/bike path). The green space goes the rest of the way to the edge of the city, so there's a lot of wildlife that comes by, and through, our yard.

We get lots of White-tailed Jackrabbits (actually a kind of #hare...) in the winter. I shot these today out my front door as it was nice out, just below freezing, and I could leave the door open to take pictures through.

This fellow - or lady - is quite the handsome beast. I think he knows it. He's looking dead at me in the first photo, because I'm five meters away with a device that's making weird clicky noises and I'm moving a bit.

In the second picture, you can see their #fuzzy #lips are exactly like a domestic rabbit's.

A photograph of a hare (White-tailed jackrabbit) in close-up, looking directly at the camera. His or her head and partial body fill the frame. This is taken in winter, so their coat has changed to mostly white, with darker markings on the ears and nose. The whiskers are visible but out of focus. There is no background to speak of. The eye on the south-facing side of the hare's head clearly shows a reflection of the bright overcast sky, and dark markings right around the eye appear like it is wearing makeup. It's a handsome beast.
Another photograph of the same jackrabbit as the previous photo. In this one, the head is turned somewhat, so it's more like a 3/4 shot. It's the same white fur with dark markings on the ears and nose, and a hint of colour around the mouth. Visible in this show is the "muzzlepouche" upper lip/cheeks and the lower lip, forming the classic slightly-worried upside-down "Y" shape. You can see that the lips are covered with fuzzy fur.
