Carson Hill 📎<p>This <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/log" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>log</span></a> crosses my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/walking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>walking</span></a> path; every time I step over it I wonder about these <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ants" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ants</span></a>. Best I can tell is that it's some kind of superhighway for the little dudes. </p><p>I've looked for an obvious nest on either end of the log, but they both disappear into salal growths. The log is probably 40 feet across, altogether.
