Aires<p>Hey friends, if you want to <a href="https://tiggi.es/tags/sync" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sync</span></a> data easily without using centralized services, look at <a href="https://tiggi.es/tags/SyncThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SyncThing</span></a>. It's an open source <a href="https://tiggi.es/tags/FileSynchronization" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FileSynchronization</span></a> service that sends data directly between devices. You can have your laptop back-up to your phone and vice versa, it supports encryption, there are no limits, AND it's free!</p><p>I'm using it to sync my laptop and phone to my home server, but I also have my laptop and phone backing up to each other, so if my home server goes down, I'm not SOL.</p><p>NOTE: I changed "backup" to "sync", because as many people rightfully pointed out, this isn't really backing up your files. It's just copying them to different devices. You can configure file versioning, but it's not 100% identical to true backup. Just be mindful, and maybe make a copy of your folders before adding them!</p><p><a href="https://syncthing.net/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">syncthing.net/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
