Levka<p><a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Bangladesh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bangladesh</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/fascists" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fascists</span></a></p><p>"The National Citizen Party (NCP) would on 3 August announce a 'manifesto' for achieving freedom from all forms of existing fascist practices and discriminatory state policies.</p><p>Nahid Islam, the youth-led political party’s convener, set the date at a rally held at Pirganj town in Thakurgaon after the Friday prayers. The rally was staged as part of the party’s countrywide 'July March' program, which is aimed at arousing the people against 'pro-fascist culture.'</p><p>He alleged that the old system rooted in fascism still exists in the country. 'The NCP has emerged to dismantle that system and establish a new Bangladesh. We will not anyone to become another fascist in the country,' he added.</p><p>NCP's young leaders led an uprising last year that ultimately toppled the fascist Awami League government. Now, NCP would fight again against any new 'fascist individual and group.'</p><p>Nahid stressed the party's fight for securing justice for genocide, basic reforms, and assurance of a new constitution before the next elections are held. 'We must present the July Declaration within July-August,' he said as part of measures aimed at rectifying fascist state mechanisms.</p><p>He called on the youth to step forward 'again' to eliminate extortion, terrorism, injustice, fascism and discrimination across the country. 'Whenever the youths came forward for the sake of the country, they achieved success,' Nahid noted.</p><p>'Friends, we remember how students took to the streets in July and August to resist the fascist dictatorship. Many were injured and martyred in that movement. Today, we honour their sacrifices,' said Nahid.</p><p>'However, it is more challenging to protect the independence than achieving it.
